Treatment Options for SUD

Do you struggle with addiction to drugs or alcohol? We can help. Our outpatient treatment centers feature medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and ambulatory detox programs to ensure that our patients can return to their daily activities with a higher quality of life. Read through the type of treatment we offer below and get in touch with us to take the next steps to recovery.

Medication Assisted Treatment

In the past, a patient struggling with addiction may have the options of short-term detoxification or "rehab" that combined long-term counseling and support groups. While we use many of these components and methodologies in our programs here at Kolbe Clinic, we can offer you medication-assisted treatment as well. This type of addiction treatment focuses on starting an addiction patient on a low dose of opioid medication in order to decrease cravings and learn to live without an addictive substance. When you begin one of our medicated assisted treatment programs, your physician may place you on a regimen of one of the following medications:

  • Suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone)
  • Zubsolv (buprenorphine and naloxone)
  • Bunavail (buprenorphine and naloxone)
  • Subutex (buprenorphine)

Counseling

We offer individual and group counseling to address at a fundamental level the issues that you are facing. Counseling is an integral part of both psychiatric care and substance use disorder treatment.

Those who are in recovery and are not participating in support groups and counseling are far more likely to relapse.

Our counselors and social workers use many different type of counseling methods, including Mindfulness-Based Counseling and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Click here to learn more about the different types of counseling approaches.

Ambulatory Detox

Detox is often thought to be the hardest and most uncomfortable phase of addiction recovery, but it doesn't have to be. Many of our patients can be helped with medications that assist in safely weaning off their drug of choice. If you're considering quitting a highly addictive substance, it's important to get in touch with a treatment center or a medical practitioner before you go cold turkey. Many withdrawal symptoms can be life threatening and it is important that you contact a medical professional if you are experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms can include:

  • Mood swings, depression, and anxiety
  • Nausea and pain
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Shaking
  • Headaches
  • Strong and sometimes unbearable cravings for the drug

Those who are withdrawing from Alcohol, Sedatives, Hypnotics, or Anxiolytics should contact Kolbe Detox immediately for inpatient detox services.
